WHO launches AWaRe tool to Combat Antimicrobial Resistance

The World Health Organization (WHO) is launching a new tool named AWaRe (Access, Watch and Reserve) to reduce the spread of antimicrobial resistance.
The AWaRe tool was developed by the WHO Essential Medicines List to contain rising resistance and make antibiotic use safer and more effective.
AWaRe campaign, is aimed at making decision and policymakers aware of the appropriate and effective use of antibiotics for specific infections.
