UAE Launches UN-Developed Anti-Money Laundering Platform ‘goAML’
- The Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) of the Central Bank of UAE has launched a new anti-money laundering platform, called goAML, to help in combating money laundering as well as financing of terrorism locally and internationally.
- The platform has been developed by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
- This makes UAE the first country in the Gulf region to go live with the UN developed system.
