Sarita Elected Unopposed as Member of AIBA Athletes’ Commission
- Indian boxing ace, Laishram Sarita Devi has been elected unopposed as a member of the international boxing body, AIBA’s first-ever athletes’ commission.
- The 37-year-old Manipur boxer is among the six representative boxers from 5 continents in the commission, except Europe which has two representatives.
- The election of the Athletes Commission members was organized during AIBA Men and Women World Boxing Championships 2019 in Russia.
