- The government of India has extended the additional charge of PK Purwar as chairman and managing director (CMD) of MTNL (telecom firm) for a period of one year till 14-10-2022.
- PK Purwar is also the Chairman and managing director of BSNL. The government has already announced the merger of BSNL and MTNL.
