  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi was on two day visit to Gujarat on 4-5 March 2019 to inaugurate and lay foundation stones of several development projects.

  • During his visit, PM visited Jamnagar, Jaspur and Ahmedabad on march 4 while he was in Adalaj and Vastral on March 5

  • Some of the development projects launched by PM Modi includes:

Ahmedabad

  • Inauguration of the first phase of Ahmedabad Metro Service at Vastral Gam Metro Station and foundation stone for the second phase of the Ahmedabad Metro.
  • Inauguration of India’s first indigenously developed One Nation, One Card Model for transport mobility. It is Common Mobility Card of Ahmedabad Metro
  • Inauguration of the 1200 bed New Civil Hospital, New Cancer Hospital, Dental Hospital and Eye Hospital in Ahmedabad.
  • Distributed Golden Cards to select beneficiaries of PM-JAY- Ayushman Bharat scheme
  • Dedicated the Dahod Railway Workshop and Patan-Bindi Railway Line to nation and foundation stone of Lothal Maritime Museum.

Jaspur

  • Foundation Stone of the Vishva Umiyadham Complex 

Jamnagar

  • Flagged off the Bandra- Jamnagar Humsafar Express at Jamnagar
  • Dedicated the 750 bed annexe of Guru Gobind Singh Hospital to the nation
  • Launched SAUNI water schemes projects that includes Und-1 to Ranjit Sagar Lift Irrigation Scheme and Machu-1 to Nyari Lift Irrigation Scheme
  • Foundation stone of Jodiya Desalination Plant and Und-3 to Venu-2 Lift Irrigation Scheme.
  • Dedicated 51 km pipeline from Aaji-3 to Khijadia to the nation

Adalaj

  • Foundation stone of Shikshan Bhavan and Vidhyarthi Bhavan at Annapurna Dham Trust

Vastral

  • Launched the Pradhan Mantri Shram-Yogi Maandhan Yojana (PM-SYM) and distributed PM-SYM Pension Cards to select beneficiaries.
