National Conference on Unani Medicine Concludes in New Delhi
- The two-day National Conference on Unani Medicine was organised in New Delhi from February 11-12, 2019.
- It was inaugurated by Dr. Najma Heptulla, Governor of Manipur.
- The theme of the conference was ‘Unani Medicine for Public Health
- The conference was organized by the Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine (CCRUM) as a part of 3rd Unani Day celebration.
- It highlighted the important role played by Unani Medicine in public health especially in combating NCDs, lifestyle disorders and various chronic diseases by providing cost effective treatment and quality products for patient healthcare.
- Unani Day: Observed on 11 February annually to mark the birth anniversary of Hakim Ajmal Khan.
