Margaret Atwood and Bernardine Evaristo Jointly win Booker Prize 2019

- Margaret Atwood has won for her novel ‘The Testaments’ and Bernardine Evaristo for her novel ‘Girl, Woman, Other’.
- Evaristo is the first black woman to win the prestigious award since its creation in 1969.
- They are the first joint winners in almost 30 years, after the last tie in 1992.
