IRDAI Constitutes Committee Headed by TR Alamelu to recommend amendments to Reinsurance, Investment, FRBs and Llyods India Regulations
- The insurance regulator IRDAI has constituted a top level panel to re-look into the set of existing norms on Re-insurance, Investment, Foreign Re-insurance Branches (FRBs) and Llyods India.
- The 9-member committee will be headed by Mrs TR Alamelu, Member (non-life, IRDAI) to review the regulations, circulars and guidelines issued earlier.
- The committee has been formed because subsequent to the issue of these regulations, the insurers sought clarifications and applicability of certain provisions of the Regulations/Guidelines/Circulars.
