Keshav Dutt & Prasun Banerjee Selected for Mohun Bagan Ratna 2019
- Former India Football Captain Prasun Banerjee and two-time Olympic gold medallist Keshav Dutt has been chosen for the ‘Mohun Bagan Ratna’ 2019.
- They will be given the award on July 29 during the annual day celebrations of the ‘Mohun Bagan Day’.
- The Mohun Bagan’s executive committee has for the first time decided to confer their highest honour to a non-footballer.
- Every year on July 29 ‘Mohun Bagan Day’ is observed because on this day in 1911, the Mariners became the first club to defeat a British club, East Yorkshire Regiment, and lift the IFA Shield.
