India Successfully Test Fires Nuclear-Capable Missile Prithvi-II
- The indigenously developed nuclear-capable missile Prithvi-II was successfully test-fired by India from Launch Complex-III of the Integrated Test Range, ITR at Chandipur off the Odisha coast on June 27, 2019.
- The surface-to-surface missile has a strike range of 350 km, is capable of carrying 500 to 1000 kg of warheads and is powered by liquid propulsion twin engines.
