India-France-Australia holds first-ever Trilateral Dialogue on Ind0-Pacific

India, Australia and France held their first-ever Trilateral Dialogue on 9 September 2020, with focus on enhancing cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region.
The meeting was co-chaired virtually by Harsh Vardhan Shringla, Foreign Secretary of India, François Delattre, Secretary-General, French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and Frances Adamson, Secretary, Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
Objective of this trilateral meeting was to strengthen the strong bilateral relations among the three countries and synergize their respective strengths to ensure a peaceful, secure, prosperous and rules-based Indo-Pacific Region.
The three sides agreed to hold the dialogue on an annual basis.
