- The former U.S. Senator, Bill Nelson, has been sworn in as the 14th administrator of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) on May 03, 2021.
- The 78-year-old Nelson was administered the oath of office by US Vice President Kamala Harris.
- He replaces James Frederick Bridenstine, who stepped down in January 2021.
- Earlier, Nelson served as a United States Senator from Florida from 2001 to 2019.
