Former Swedish Golfer Annika Sorenstam elected President of International Golf Federation

  • Former world number one and ten-time major winner on LPGA tournaments, Annika Sorenstam, has been elected as the new President of the International Golf Federation (IGF) [Headquarters: Lausanne, Switzerland]
  • The 50-year-old Sweden-based golfer will succeed outgoing Peter Dawson, who is  stepping down after 10 years in charge.
  • She will take over the charge with effect from 1st January 2020.
