Defence Minister Rajnath Singh Inaugurates Col. Chewang Rinchen Setu in Ladakh

The Defence Minister of India Shri Rajnath Singh dedicated to nation the Col Chewang Rinchan Setu (Bridge), constructed in the forward area of Ladakh region on October 21, 2019.
The bridge has been constructed by the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) across the Shyok River.
It has been built on the strategically important road Durbuk Shyok Daulat Beg Oldie in sub sector north in eastern Ladakh at an altitude of 14,650 feet.
The bridge has been named in honor of Colonel Chewang Rinchan who was one of the highly decorated officer in the Indian Army from Ladakh and was awarded the Maha Vir Chakara twice.
