Bajrang Punia Set to Become First Indian to Wrestle at Madison Square Garden
- Indian wrestler and Asian champion Bajrang Punia will soon become the first Indian wrestler to fight at New York’s iconic Madison Square Garden.
- USA Wrestling, the national governing body for the sport in the US has invited Bajrang to participate in the “Grapple at the Garden – Beat the Streets” fight night which will be held on May 6.
- The 25-year-old, who won the 65kg men’s freestyle gold at the Asian Wrestling Championships 2019, will be among top wrestlers selected by the American governing body for the May 6 tournament.
