Adani Group takes over operational control of Jaipur International Airport from AAI
- Gautam Adani-led Adani Group took over the responsibilities of the Jaipur International Airport on October 11, 2021.
- The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has leased the airport to Adani Group for a period of 50 years.
- Adani Airports will work on the operations, management and development of the Jaipur airport through PPP mode.
- The first flight after the take over was from Delhi to Jaipur.
- The group will take over the control of entire facility except for cargo terminal, Air Traffic Control (ATC) and Communication, Navigation & Surveillance (CNS), which will continue to be operated by AAI.
- The private group Adani will have to develop their own cargo terminal.
