World Science Day for Peace and Development: 10 November

The World Science Day for Peace and Development is celebrated each year on November 10 to highlight the important role that science play in society and the need to engage the wider public in debates on emerging scientific issues.
World Science Day was proclaimed by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in 2001 and celebrated for the first time in 2002.
2021 Theme: “Building Climate-Ready Communities”.
Additionally, the International Week of Science and Peace (IWOSP) is also observed every year from 9 to 14 November.
