World Population Day: 11 July

The World Population Day is observed every year on July 11 to raise awareness of global population issues.
The day was established by the Governing Council of the United Nations Development Programme in 1989 in commemoration of the day in 1987, when the world reached the population of 5 billion.
Theme of 2020 World Population Day is Safeguarding the Health and Rights of Women and Girls.
