- The World Malaria Day (WMD) is observed internationally on 25 April annually to recognize global efforts to control malaria.
- The Day was established in May 2007 by the 60th session of the World Health Assembly, WHO’s decision-making body.
- Theme of World Malaria Day 2019 is ‘Zero Malaria Starts With Me’.
