World Human Rights Day: 10 December
- Human Rights Day is celebrated on 10 December annually across the world.
- 2020 Theme: “Recover Better – Stand Up For Human Rights”
- It was on this day in 1948 that United Nations General Assembly adopted and proclaimed the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR).
- UDHR is a milestone document proclaiming the first ever global enunciation of human rights which everyone is inherently entitled to as a human being regardless of race, colour, religion, sex, language, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status.
