Uttar Pradesh Govt to set up its First vulture conservation and breeding centre in Maharajganj district
- The government of Uttar Pradesh has taken a major step to conserve the endangered vulture population, and therefore, has decided to set up a vulture conservation and breeding centre in Pharenda area of Maharajganj district in the state.
- It will be the first vulture conservation and breeding centre of its kind in the state.
- The centre will be set up on the lines of Jatayu Conservation Breeding Centre at Pinjore in Haryana, which is also the first of its kind in India.
