UP government signs concession agreement with Zurich International Airport for development of Jewar Airport at Noida
- The Uttar Pradesh government led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has signed a concessionaire agreement with Zurich Airport International, Switzerland for the development of Jewar Airport in Gautam Budh Nagar, Noida.
- The agreement was signed between the Noida International Airport Limited (NIAL) and the Yamuna International Airport Limited, a Special Purpose Vehicle launched by Zurich Airport for project implementation.
- The agreement grants the license to Zurich Airport to design, build and operate Noida International Airport for a period of 40 years.
- The Jewar Airport (also known as Noida International Greenfield Airport) will be spread over 5,000 hectares, and is estimated to cost Rs 29,560 crore
- Noida International Airport (Jewar Airport) will be developed on the public-private partnership (PPP) model.
