SpaceX launches first all-civilian crew to orbit under Inspiration4 mission
- The SpaceX recently launched the world’s first all-civilian crew into the Earth orbit under the mission named Inspiration-4 .
- A group of four civilians were part of the historic mission, featuring no trained astronauts.
- The Inspiration4 crew took off to orbit aboard SpaceX`s Falcon 9 rocket from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida on September 16, 2021.
- The four member crew spent time in orbit in the SpaceX’s Crew Dragon spacecraft, dubbed as Resilience.
- The three day flight safely re-entered Earth`s atmosphere in the Atlantic off Florida’s coast on September 19, 2021.
- The four members of the mission were Jared Isaacman (mission commander), Sian Proctor, Hayley Arceneaux, and Chris Sembroski.
- The Inspiration4 mission was the first private mission conducted by SpaceX to orbit.
