- The star wicketkeeper-batsman of South Africa, Quinton de Kock has announced his retirement from Test cricket with immediate effect on December 30, 2021.
- The 29-year-old former Test captain, De Kock made his Proteas Test debut against Australia in Gqeberha in 2014.
- Proteas is South Africa’s national cricket team.
- He played total 54 test matches played, and scored 3300 runs with highest score of 141 not out, at an average of 38.82 and strike rate of 70.93.
