SBI-led consortium picks Grant Thornton as resolution professional (RP) for Jet Airways
- The Jet Airways lenders consortium has selected Ashish Chhawchharia of advisory firm Grant Thornton for the role of interim resolution professional (RP) for the airline’s bankruptcy proceedings.
- The consortium led by State Bank of India (SBI) had opted for a resolution of the grounded airline under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC).
- With the company in NCLT, the lenders face the possibility of recovering a fraction of their dues worth ₹8,400 crore. Jet’s total liabilities, including unpaid salaries and vendor dues, are nearly₹15,000 crore.
