RBI Constitutes Task Force on the Development of Secondary Market for Corporate Loans
- The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has constituted a six member Task Force on the Development of Secondary Market for Corporate Loans to bring in place a well-developed secondary market for debt for transparent price discovery of the inherent riskiness of the debt being traded.
- The committee will be chaired by Shri T. N. Manoharan, Chairman, Canara Bank.
- The task force will review the existing state of the market for loan sale/transfer in India as well as the international experience in loan trading and shall submit its report by the end of August 2019.
