Rachna Bisht Rawat Authors “Kargil: Untold stories from the War”
- A new book titled “Kargil: Untold stories from the War” will be released on 20th anniversary of Kargil War.
- It has been authored by Rachna Bisht Rawat and published by Penguin Random House.
- The book is based on the interviews conducted by author with war survivors and martyrs’ families and is a tribute to their courage and to that of their families.
- The year 2019 marks the 20th anniversary of victory in ‘Operation VIJAY’ popularly known as the ‘Kargil War’ which took place in 1999.
- The ‘Kargil Vijay Diwas’ is held nationally every year on July 26.
