Pramod Sawant Takes Oath as Goa’s 13th Chief Minister
- The BJP MLA Pramod Sawant took oath as the 13th Chief Minister of Goa at 2 am on March 18 night. Two deputy Chief Ministers were also sworn in, along with other ministers in the 12 member cabinet.
- The 45-year-old, former Speaker of Goa legislative Assembly, succeeds former defence minister and four-time CM of Goa Manohar Parrikar, who recently passed away after a prolonged battle with advanced pancreatic cancer.
- Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP’s) Ramkrishna Dhavlikar and Vijai Sardadesai of Goa Forward Party were sworn in as deputy Chief Ministers.
