PM Narendra Modi unfurls Tricolour at Red Fort as India celebrates 75th Independence Day

• Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi unfurled the Tricolour at the historic Red Fort in New Delhi, to mark the 75th Independence Day of India on August 15, 2021.
• While PM Modi hoisted the National Flag, flower petals were showered at the venue by two Mi 17 1V helicopters of the Indian Air Force in Amrut Formation. This is the first time ever during the celebrations that flower showering ceremony was held.
• The 75th year of Independence is being celebrated as ‘Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav’. The celebrations will continue till August 15, 2023.
