PM Modi Unveils Development Projects Worth Rs. 3350 crore in Varanasi
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi was in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh on 19 February 2019 to unveil several development projects worth Rs. 3350 crore.
- PM laid the foundation stone of Guru Ravidas Birth Place Development Project at Shri Guru Ravidas Janmasthan Temple, Seergoverdhanpur to mark Ravidas Jayanti celebrations.

- Flagged off the first ever Diesel to Electric Converted Locomotive at Diesel Locomotive Works in Varanasi
- Inaugurated the Madan Mohan Malviya Cancer Centre of Banaras Hindu University and Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital Lehartara
- Dedicated first new Bhabhatron with precision technology (Multi Leaf Collimator) to the nation.
- Inaugurated Virtual Experiential Museum (VEM) set up in a Centrally Protected Monument under Archeological Survey of India, Man – Mahal, situated on the bank of the Ganges near holy Dashashwamedh Ghat
- Unveil the statue of Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya and murals of Varanasi Ghats in BHU.
- Interacted with the beneficiaries of PM-JAY Ayushman Bharat at BHU.
- Inaugurated several development projects to boost health and other sectors at Aaure village.
- Distributed certificates to beneficiaries of various schemes and released commemorative postage stamp on completion of 100 Years of IIT BHU.
