- Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated India’s first-ever Global Mobility Summit-MOVE at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi on September 7, 2018. It has been organised by the government think-tank Niti Aayog.

- During the summit PM Modi said that the vision for the future of mobility in India based on 7 C’s. The 7 C’s are Common, Connected, Convenient, Congestion-free, Charged, Clean and Cutting-edge.
- The summit will revolve around five major themes namely electrification and alternative fuels, reinventing public transport, goods transport and logistics, data analytics and mobility.
