P K Sinha, Principal Adviser to PM Modi Resigns
- Former Cabinet Secretary P.K. Sinha, the Principal Advisor to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has resigned from the PMO, citing “personal reasons”.
- Sinha, a 1977-batch retired IAS officer from Uttar Pradesh cadre, was appointed Principal Adviser to the PM in September 2019.
- Before joining the PMO, Sinha was the only one in the history of the IAS to get three extensions as cabinet secretary, the top cadre post of the service.
