Northeast Frontier Railway introduces Pink coaches for female passengers
- Northeast Frontier Railway zone of Indian Railways has introduced pink coaches in trains to particularly facilitate the female passengers.
- Only female passenger can travel in the Pink Coach. This has been done to ensure better safety and security of women.
- As per the Section 58 of the Railways Act, 1989, there has been mention on earmarking of female passengers’ accommodation it trains and it is as per the law
