National Anti-Terrorism Day: May 21

The National Anti-Terrorism Day is observed annually on May 21 in India to spread the message of global peace, non-violence and humanity to promote unity among the people and stop youngsters from being misguided.
The Anti-Terrorism Day marks the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi who was assassinated in Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu, in May, 1991 while he was campaigning for the Congress as the party president for the national elections
