Nation Observes 70th Constitution Day

Every year, India celebrates the Constitution Day, also known as Samvidhan Divas on 26 November to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India.
The Constituent Assembly of India adopted the Constitution of India on 26 November 1949, and it came into effect on 26 January 1950.
2019 marks the 70th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of India.
The day was declared by the Government of India on 19 November 2015, since 2015 was the 125th birth anniversary year of B. R. Ambedkar, who is known as the drafter of the Indian constitution.
