Mumbai Plans to get India’s largest air quality monitoring network
- The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has planned to develop a network of 90 air quality monitoring stations in Mumbai.
- This will make the city, that has the largest network of air monitoring in India.
- The time to complete the project is estimated to be over the next five years.
- Currently, Mumbai has 30 air quality monitoring stations.
- Mumbai plans to overtake Delhi, which presently has the largest networking of air quality monitors with 38 monitoring stations.
