MoS Health & Family Welfare Dr Bharti Pawar addresses 74th WHO-SEARO

  • The Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Dr. Bharati Pravin Pawar represented India at the World Health Organization- South East Asia Regional Office (WHO-SEARO) through video-conference on September 07, 2021.
  • This is the 74th Session of the WHO Regional Committee, for South-East Asia, organised from September 6 – September 10, 2021.
  • At the conference, Dr. Bharati Pravin Pawar discussed India’s challenges and opportunities during the COVID-19 Pandemic and highlighted the key measures and strategies planned to achieve Universal Health Care; achieve health related Sustainable Development Goals and to strengthen health system resilience for the future.
  • The Health Ministers and officials from Member States, partners and civil society participated in the Regional Committee meeting, which takes place every year to formulate policies, review progress and deliberate on new initiatives.
