Michael Debabrata Patra Appointed as Deputy Governor of RBI
- Michael Debabrata Patra has been appointed as the 4th Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) for a period of three-year.
- Patra replaces Viral Acharya, who quit the post in July 2019.
- RBI can have a maximum of four Deputy Governors.
- Currently N S Vishwanathan, B P Kanungo and Mahesh Kumar Jain are the other three Deputy Governors working at the central bank.
