Mahatma Gandhi's Former Personal Secretary V Kalyanam, Passes Away at 99

Indian freedom fighter, V Kalyanam, who was the former personal secretary of Mahatma Gandhi, has passed away due to old age related ailments. He was 99.
Kalyanam was last surviving personal secretary of Gandhiji, who served from 1943 to 1948, when the Mahatma was assassinated.
He joined the freedom struggle in 1942 during Quit India Movement.
Kalyanam joined the Aam Aadmi Party in 2014.
The veteran fighter was against the Congress and the BJP, but not against Narendra Modi, because he believed “Modi’s governance is good.”
