Maharashtra Launches Scheme “Mission Oxygen Self-Reliance” to Meet Oxygen Need
- To meet its growing oxygen needs, the Maharashtra Government has launched a scheme named “Mission Oxygen Self-Reliance”.
- Under this scheme, the state government will provide special incentives to oxygen producing industries so as to meet the increasing demand for Liquid Medical Oxygen in the state.
- The current oxygen generation capacity of the state is 1300 MT per day.
- Through this new scheme, state government aims to achieve the target of producing 3000 MT of oxygen per day.
- To avail the benefits of the new policy, Industries must apply before June 30.
