- Maharashtra Government has announced a new scheme named “Tejshri Financial Services” to provide financial assistance to the poorest of the poor, debt victims and the families dependent on women under the human development program.
- Under the scheme Rs 10,000 loan per person to the poorest of the poor families will be given. A financial assistance of Rs. 20,000 for repayment of loans to the self-help group and the working capital of Rs 2 lakh will be made available to the women entrepreneurs in the field of business of social enterprises.
- Rs. 68 crore 53 lakh will be distributed in three years under this program.
