- Madhya Pradesh Government has announced two schemes: ‘Indira Grah Jyoti Yojana’ and ‘Yuva Swabhiman Yojana’ (This was annouced earlier but more detail is available about the scheme now).
- Indira Grah Jyoti Yojana– Under this scheme 100 units of power would be provided to all households at Rs 100. If they consume more than 100 units in a month, they will have to pay for the entire consumption at the existing rate. It will cost the government about Rs 2,226 crore.
- Yuva Swabhiman Yojana– Under the scheme unemployed urban youths will get a hundred days’ employment and a stipend of Rs 13,000.
- Eligibility – Age- 21 to 30; and annual family income of less than Rs 2 lakh.
- This scheme will cost the government about Rs 800 crore.
