Kapil Dev Resigns as Chief of BCCI Cricket Advisory Committee
- Former India captain Kapil Dev has resigned as the head of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Cricket Advisory Committee.
- Kapil Dev was appointed the chief of the 3-member ad-hoc committee in July 2019. Shanta Rangaswamy and Anshuman Gaekwad were the other member of the committee.
- His resignation comes after Shanta Rangaswamy stepped down in September 2019 when they were sent the notice of Conflict of Interest by BCCI’s ethics officer DK Jain in September 2019.
- Cricket Advisory Committee is tasked with the role of picking the head coaches of India women’s and men’s cricket teams.
