ISRO To Launch Cartosat-3 Satellite and 13 Commercial Nano Satellites On November 25
- The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is set to launch its earth imaging and mapping satellite named Cartosat-3 on November 25 from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) SHAR at Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh.
- In addition to this, 13 commercial nano satellites from the US would also be launched.
- The launch would take place onboard Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV-C47).
- This will be the 21st flight of PSLV in ‘XL’ configuration (with 6 solid strap-on motors).
- The Cartosat-3 is a “third generation agile advanced satellite” with high resolution imaging capability.
- The satellite would be placed in an orbit of 509 km at an inclination of 97.5 degree.
