Irish Women Yvonne Farrell and Shelley McNamara wins 2020 Pritzker Prize
- Dublin-based Yvonne Farrell and Shelley McNamara have been named as the recipients of the 2020 Pritzker Prize, the highest accolade for architecture in the world.
- This is the first time that female duo has won architecture’s most prestigious award. Also, for the first time, Irish citizens have ever picked up the prize.
- Before them, only three other female have won Pritzkers in the past 41-year history of the prize.
- Their work includes The Grafton Building of Bocconi University , Paris’s Institut Mines Telecom building etc.
