IREDA inks MoU with NHPC to provide technical expertise in green energy projects for 5 years

The Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd. (IREDA), under administrative control of Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NHPC Ltd., the PSU under Ministry of Power, on January 08, 2021, through virtual mode, for providing technical expertise in developing renewable energy projects.
Under the MoU, IREDA will assist NHPC in developing an action plan to create and acquire Renewable Energy projects for the next 5 years.
For this, IREDA will undertake Techno-Financial investigation and review of Renewable energy and Energy Efficiency & conservation projects for NHPC.
The MoU will facilitate knowledge and technology transfer and provide consultancy & research services, which will contribute towards overall sustainable development of the country.
