International Nurses Day: May 12

International Nurses Day (IND) is observed globally on 12 May to celebrate the contributions that nurses make to society.
The day marks the birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale, also known as ‘The Lady with the Lamp’, who was a famous manager and trainer of nurses during the Crimean War.
The theme for the International Nurses Day 2019 is ‘Nurses – A Voice to Lead –Health for All’.
