International Dance Day: April 29
- The International Dance Day is observed globally on April 29 each year to encourage participation and education in dance through events and festivals.
- This day was created by the Dance Committee of the International Theatre Institute (ITI) which is the main partner for the performing arts of UNESCO.
- It marks the anniversary of the birth of Jean-Georges Noverre (1727–1810) who is known as the creator of modern ballet.
