International Civil Aviation Day: 7 December

• The International Civil Aviation Day is celebrated every year on December 7 to recognize the importance of aviation to the social and economic development of the world.
• The Day was established in 1994 TO celebrate the 50th anniversary of International Civil Aviation Organization.
• The United Nations General Assembly proclaimed the day in 1996.
• The ICAO Council has selected the following theme for 2015-2018: “Working Together to Ensure No Country is Left Behind”.
