International Albinism Awareness Day: 13 June

The International Albinism Awareness Day (IAAD) is celebrated annually on June 13 to celebrate the human rights of persons with albinism worldwide.
The 2021 Theme of IAAD is “Strength Beyond All Odds”
The United Nations’ General Assembly adopted a resolution on December 18, 2014, to establish June 13 as International Albinism Awareness Day.
Albinism is a congenital disorder characterized in humans by the complete or partial absence of pigment in the skin, hair and eyes.
