- The International Albinism Awareness Day (IAAD) is celebrated annually on June 13 to celebrate the human rights of persons with albinism worldwide.
- The 2021 Theme of IAAD is “Strength Beyond All Odds”
- The United Nations’ General Assembly adopted a resolution on December 18, 2014, to establish June 13 as International Albinism Awareness Day.
- Albinism is a congenital disorder characterized in humans by the complete or partial absence of pigment in the skin, hair and eyes.
